Finally managed to place order for 2 sets of Xiaomi Redmi @ SGD169 each (1 for my mum and 1 for my friend) on March 13, 2014 from Xiaomi Singapore. Both sets arrived on March 18 & 19 respectively, a day apart which I don’t really know why. Perhaps that’s how UPS dispatch the packages. Sharing some of the unboxing photos of the Redmi (MediaTek Quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 4.7″ display, 4GB ROM, 1GB RAM, 1280 x 720 display with 312 ppi IPS display, 8MP f/2.2 aperture, 28mm wide angle lens with 1080p video recording, MIUI V5, based on Android 4.2.).

For the Xiaomi Redmi phone, how do you toggle between English and Chinese when sending messages?
So, in addition to $169 listing price for Redmi, we have to spend another $41 for its ear phone ($21) + cover ($15) + screen protector ($5) taking the total price to $210..
Personally I will still go for the Redmi for it’s faster 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 4.7″ screen, pretty impressive image quality from it’s F2.2 8MP 1080p video capable camera, a micro SD slot for storage expansion needs, and the surprisingly solid build quality of a SGD169 Android phone. Accessories to the Redmi can always be purchased during discounts/events or from online stores which I think will find pretty competitive/lower prices to bring the total cost down if comparing it to what the Moto G bundled with.
How do you set or transfer photos taken by the phone to your micro SD card.
Photos taken are saved on the phone memory…how to set it to auto save on SD card?
Thanks
I have putting micro sd to make photo taken to be store into it but fail. I have done this with 2 card format with fat32 still fail. I’m using Redmi 1S. Please give advise.

Instead, do you think we should spend $38 more to buy a Moto G phone ? It comes with all those basic accessories..

By adding in the Micro-SD card, the photos will be auto-saved to it.
How do you transfer downloaded games/apps from phone memory to SD card memory?

Sir, How do you transfer downloaded games/apps from phone memory to SD cars memory?
Does it have a earphone on the package?
Earphone is not included in the package. You can get it separately at an affordable price of SGD19.99.
